Beautiful Fall Iowa Wedding
Sept. 14, 2019.. a lot has changed since then. That’s the date Kari & Zach said I do. And here I am…over a year later, finally blogging it but, I remember it like it was this September. Kari was actually my very first wedding in Iowa. She was referred to me by a local small business owner that I had met while working at a salon for a few months in 2018.
Kari reached out via Instagram in January 2019. We stayed in contact over a few months and finally in August we met for her trial. She requested a more natural look as she doesn’t normally wear a lot of makeup but, of course, still wanted it to be wedding glam. And I gave her just that!
When September came, her get ready location was the bridal suite at Stone Haven Barn in De Soto, IA. Being my first Iowa wedding, I had no clue what an absolute stunning location I was going to. The restored 1920’s barn has 3,000 plus square feet of floor space with a wet bar and loft space to accommodate a band! It is absolutely breath taking.
Kari and her bridal party had their hair done by Gracie Cummings. I really enjoyed working beside her. She was not only friendly but the styles she created were effortlessly beautiful.
Sneak peeks start to roll in from Jodie Graham Photography and I am instantly jealous I wasn’t able to stick around for the party. The Murphy’s really know how to have a good time surrounded by their closest loved ones.
