How far in advance should I book my wedding date?
We recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (e.g., May through October). Dates are reserved strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
What is required to secure my date?
Your date is officially locked in once we receive a signed service agreement and your non-refundable retainer / 50% deposit. Until both are received, the date remains open to other inquiries.
Is there a booking minimum for weekends or peak season?
Yes, weekend dates during peak season require a minimum of 5 services (for example, the bride plus 4 attendants).
Can I adjust my service headcount after booking?
You are welcome to add services at any time, pending artist availability. Final service counts must be locked in 90 days before your wedding date. Services cannot be reduced below your agreed-upon booking minimum after 90 days.
What is your cancellation or date-transfer policy?
All retainers are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. If you need to reschedule, your retainer can be transferred to a new date within 11 months, provided our team is available.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE INVESTMENT?
For a Bride reserving hair & makeup for herself, a preview session, and a party of 6 also having hair and makeup, the average investment is $1,926. Please remember our packages are 100% customized to each marrier's needs & investments will vary. For the most accurate quote, inquire here!
trials and Preparation
When should I schedule my bridal trial?
We recommend scheduling your trial 3 months prior to your wedding day. Many brides love pairing their trial with an engagement photo session, bridal shower, or dress fitting.
How should my party prepare hair and skin on the wedding morning?
Everyone receiving services should arrive with 100% dry hair washed the evening prior (avoiding heavy oils or deep conditioners) and a clean, moisturized face free of makeup, fresh wax, or recent chemical peels.
Do you work with clip-in hair extensions?
Yes! We love styling with clip-ins to add volume and length. Extensions must be 100% human hair, clean, and dry prior to the appointment.
Day-of logistics & timeline
How long does each service take?
We allocate approximately 60 minutes per service for bridal and 45 minutes per service for attendants. We supply a master morning schedule in advance so your getting-ready process runs smoothly.
What room setup do you require on location?
We require a setup area with ample natural light (preferably near large windows), high/barstool-style seating, nearby grounded electrical outlets, and clean table space for our professional kits.
How do you manage large wedding parties with tight timelines?
Reservations are alloted 4 - 5 hour timing max. We send the appropriate number of hairstylists or makeup artists to complete your party size within that time frame working backwards from your desired ready by time to create the perfect start time.
DO YOU CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?
Travel is complimentary within Des Moines. Anything outside Des Moines is subject to a fee of $.70 per mile, roundtrip. Travel beyond 1 hour in one direction are subject to a $15/ hr rate, round trip per artist.

What products do you use, and can you accommodate allergies?
Our kits are stocked with high-performing, long-wearing professional products including airbrush makeup. We easily accommodate skin sensitivities, just notify us of any allergies in advance so we can prepare latex-free lashes or hypoallergenic formulas.
What is your emergency backup plan if an artist is ill?
Your peace of mind is our priority. In the rare event of a severe illness or emergency, we tap into our reliable network of vetted professional artists to step in seamlessly with your exact trial notes, face charts, and reference photos.
